The issuance of certificates for the course of basic secondary and general secondary education is carried out on the basis of the order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 18, 2005 No. 125 "On approval of Standard Rules for conducting ongoing monitoring of academic performance, intermediate and final certification of students for organizations of secondary, technical and vocational, post-secondary education" (as amended on 09/01/2022).
Students of grade 9 (10) who have annual and final grades of "5" in all subjects during the study period from grades 5 to 9 (10) are issued a certificate with honors on basic secondary education in accordance with the form approved by Order No. 39.
Students of grade 11 (12) who have grades "5" in subjects to be included in the appendix to the certificate of general secondary education, annual, final grades "5" in all subjects during the period of study from grades 10 (11) to 11 (12) are issued a certificate of general secondary education with honors in accordance with with the form approved by Order No. 39.
Students of grade 11 (12) who have grades "5" in subjects to be included in the appendix to the certificate of general secondary education and annual final grades "5" are issued a certificate of general secondary education with honors in accordance with the form approved by Order No. 39.
A student of grade 11 (12) who meets the requirements specified in paragraph 2 of the Regulation on the Altyn Belgi sign, approved by Order No. 532 of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 19, 2014 (hereinafter referred to as Order No. 535) (registered in the Register of State Registration of Regulatory Legal Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan under No. 10115), is issued the certificate of general secondary education "Altyn Belgi" in accordance with the form approved by order No. 39, and the sign "Altyn Belgi".
Students of the 11th (12th) grade who have shown exemplary behavior and have annual and final grades of "5" in all subjects during their studies from grades 5 to 11 (12) and who have passed the final certification upon completion of general secondary education for a grade of "5" are issued a certificate of general secondary education "Altyn Belgi" in accordance with with the form approved by Order No. 39, and the sign "Altyn belgi".
Final certification of students in grades 9 and 11 is carried out on the basis of the order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 18, 2005 No. 125 "On approval of Standard Rules for conducting ongoing monitoring of academic performance, intermediate and final certification of students for organizations of secondary, technical and vocational, post-secondary education".
The development of general education curricula of basic secondary and general secondary education is completed by mandatory final certification of students and is carried out in the form of:
1) final final exams for students of the 9th (10th) grade;
2) state final exams for students of the 11th (12th) grade.
Final certification of students in grades 1-8 (9), 10 (11) is not provided.
Students of grades 9 (10), 11 (12) who have mastered Standard curricula in accordance with the requirements of the State Educational Standard are allowed to complete the final certification.
Students of the 9th (10th) grade who have mastered the general education curricula of basic secondary education take four exams, one of them is optional.
39. The final certification for students of the 9th (10th) grade is carried out in the following forms:
1) written exam in Kazakh / Russian and native language for schools with Uighur / Tajik/Uzbek language of instruction (language of instruction) in the form of an essay, for students of schools with in-depth study of subjects of the humanities cycle – written work (article, story, essay);
2) written exam in mathematics (algebra);
Russian Russian language and literature written exam in classes with Russian/ Uzbek/ Uighur/ Tajik language of instruction and written exam in Russian language and literature in classes with Kazakh language of instruction;
4) written exam in the subject of choice (physics, chemistry, biology, geography, geometry, history of Kazakhstan, world history, literature (in the language of instruction), foreign language (English/ French/ German), computer science).
Students of the 11th (12th) grade, who have mastered the general educational curricula of general secondary education, take the final certification in the form of five exams, one of them is optional.
41. The final certification for students of the 11th (12th) grade is carried out in the following forms:
1) Written exam in Kazakh /Russian and mother tongue for schools/classes with Uighur/ Tajik/Uzbek language of instruction (language of instruction);
2) written exam in algebra and the basics of analysis;
3) oral exam on the history of Kazakhstan;
Russian Russian language and literature written exam in schools/classes with Uzbek/ Uighur / Tajik/ Russian language of instruction and in Russian language and literature in schools/classes with Kazakh language of instruction;
5) written exam in the subject of choice (physics, chemistry, biology, geography, geometry, world history, fundamentals of law, literature (in the language of instruction), foreign language (English/ French/ German), computer science).
Examination materials (assignments and scoring schemes) for students of grade 9 (10) are developed by the education departments of the regions, the cities of Nur Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent (hereinafter referred to as the education departments), for students of grade 11 (12) of secondary education organizations, as well as for grades 9 (10) and 11 (12) The autonomous organization of education "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" (hereinafter – AEO "NIS") develops republican schools.
National Testing Center (hereinafter – NTC) provides an independent assessment of the quality of the content of the examination materials developed by AEO "NICHE".
The NTC sends electronic versions of exam materials through secure channels to education departments and republican educational organizations.
The content of the final assessment and the expected results are regulated by the specification in the context of each subject and language of instruction.
